What is Short-Term Accommodation (STA)?

Under the NDIS, Short-Term Accommodation (STA) has replaced traditional respite care for individuals with disabilities. STA provides a short stay away from home, offering participants the opportunity to experience new environments, build independence, make friends, and develop essential life skills.

Additionally, STA supports families and carers by giving them a well-deserved break from their caregiving responsibilities, ensuring peace of mind while their loved ones receive quality care in a safe and supportive setting.
